I wrote this poem in August of 2023.

Gotta flex for my next ex
let me post some thirst trap pic
of my cleavage
and add a profound quote
about my self discovery journey
but nothing too crazy
I donβt want to scare him away
I wrote this poem in August of 2023.

Am I doomed to men trying me on
just so they can change their minds-
days, weeks, months, years later
is it some kind of karmic energy in me
I still havenβt found the remedy for?
Perhaps I really need to stop trying
to find hope in love
and stick to whatβs working for me
and thatβs being alone
I wrote this poem in August of 2023.

the outline of her body in the middle of the road-
told the most tragic of stories
she wasnβt looking when she crossed the street
she was lost in her thoughts
and the driver speeding didnβt see her
and splat went her body
death came quickly to her
her last thought was mission accomplished
but the world thought
another victim of an unexpected and tragic circumstance
I wrote the poem in August of 2023.

I reach out to my unhealed parts when they show up
theyβre the messy and crazy parts I hide
the parts that still long to be codependent on others
and are terrified of my new autonomy
the parts that try to bleed into my present
and prevent me from reaching my fullest potential
I reach out, embrace them and whisper
βOur story will be better than okay,
we just need to trust the processβ
I wrote this poem in July of 2022.

this time when I plant my garden of love
it will be a solo project
filled with seeds of only me
Seeds of my grief, seeds of my joy
Seeds of my sadness, seeds on my anger
Seeds of inspiration and it will bloom
into flowers of self worth
trees of empowerment
and plants of self love
this time when I till my garden
I wonβt allow anyone to distract me
This time when I maintain my garden
Iβll water it with the essence of myself
I wrote this poem in July of 2023.

Iβm comfortable in the land of i donβt know
and allow the universe and the source
tell me what I need
And i fall into faith and hope
that things will work out
no matter how many unexpected crooked left turns
I take
no matter how many times Iβm met
with obstacles and challenges
itβs all used to build my strength and resilience
Itβs all used to fill me up with wisdom
to take risks and live life fearlessly and unapologetically
to find my own happy ending
I wrote this poem in July of 2023.

I collect crushes like little boys collect pokemon cards
Iβm addicted to the potential of love
without doing anything about it
except to occasionally test their waters
Nonchalantly sliding into their DMs
And posting a thirst trap selfie
and celebrating with a love song
when one of them likes it
or comments on it
hoping one of them sees past my salty poetry
hoping one of them is brave enough
to ask me out for coffee
and wants to get to know the real me
I wrote this poem in July of 2022.

Trust in love is a concept lost to me
I canβt imagine giving my heart to anyone else
I canβt imagine being vulnerable with anyone else
and itβs insanity to keep allowing myself to trust and love
when all I do is lose, lose, lose
I donβt know how to cope when a love song stops
while Iβm still dancing
I wrote this poem in July of 2023.

the tragedy of my anxiety is that I overthink things
until I sabotage everything
and while I’ve worked on this for a couple of years
I still have problems when good things happen to me
Itβs the demon of insecurity coming back to fuck with me
who wants me to fulfill my self fulfilling prophecy of defeat
I wrote this poem in July of 2023.

I gave the middle finger to love for a few reasons
I like to stay emotionally regulated
I like to not be on the brink of suicidal ideation
Every other week
I needed to find out who I was
without anyone distracting me
And for once in my life
I needed to make myself a priority

I wrote this poem about someone I haven’t met yet.
honest and real intimacy comes with the passage of time
it comes with stupid and terrible fights
Where love survives
it comes with health scares
and encouragement as each person evolves
honest and real intimacy is not about consummated desire
that happens between the sheets
itβs not about butterflies and daydreams
itβs about saying
βGoddamn, this man is an oblivious and sometimes an
arrogant asshole
but I still want to keep himβ

I want to fast forward to the version of me
whoβs not always in her head
whoβs not struggling to regulate her emotions
whoβs not so fucking jaded and negative
when it comes to love
whoβs not terrified of change
who doesnβt take things personally
I know, I know
I shouldnβt wish to be anyone else
and fully live and enjoy this version of myself
but lately, Iβm having a hard time moving on
to the next level of my life
everything feels so comfortable
everything feels so peaceful
Iβm scared to make any waves and return to chaos
even if I know itβs necessary to get to YOU
the future version of me who embraces change
with courage and bravery
Only this version of can dream of
I wrote this poem in June of 2023.

today Iβm being too hard on myself
always thinking about how Iβm not doing enough
about how Iβm not hustling enough
how there are still days when my anxiety
gets the best of me
Iβve tried my hardest to quell my inner critic
but it still visits me when I donβt have enough sleep
or when my inner winter is about to hit
and it points out all of my insecurities
and I try to hack my brain into being confident again
but all I can do is feel disgust and shame
as a new cycle of insanity hits
And if it’s bad enough I cry
or it kicks me in the gut and makes me sick
and my body says enough is enough
thatβs when I finally listen to it-
rest, recharge, understand this is just one day
and not my whole life
